MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. (AP) – A Metra commuter train heading into Chicago collided with a semitrailer, killing the truck’s driver and causing a minor derailment.Metra spokeswoman Judy Pardonett says the train’s passengers were evacuated after the collision in Mount Prospect on Friday. The collision also started a fire under one of the cars, but all of the train’s cars remained upright. Pardonett confirms that the truck’s driver was killed. She says none of the passengers were seriously injured.WFLD-TV reports that motorist Susan Bass witnessed the accident. Bass says the truck turned suddenly into the train’s path, despite no-crossing signs being down.The collision ended with the cab of the truck separated from the rest of the vehicle.[bc_video account_id=”” player_id=”” video_id=””]

Galway’s Quarter Final with Wexford will be played as a doubleheader with the Allianz National Football League clash of Galway and Roscommon in Pearse Stadium on Saturday next. The Hurling Quarter Final between Galway and Wexford will throw in at 1.30 with the Football throwing in at 3.30. All three Hurling Quarter Finals will be played on Saturday with Waterford and Clare in Walsh Park at 3pm and Tipperary and Dublin in Semple Stadium at 4.30. The Division One A Relegation Play-off between Kilkenny and Cork will be played at Nowlan Park and will throw in at 2pm.
