Georgenia StortsGeorgenia Storts died Monday, March 16, 2020, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield at the age of 84. She was born the daughter of Goldie Rae (King) and Daniel Lee Hayes on Tuesday, December 17, 1935 in Arkansas City, Kansas. On May 17, 1955, she and Jimmy Storts were united in marriage in Oklahoma. Together they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2010.Her family and her faith were the most important things in her life.Survivors include her daughter, Debra Neal and her husband Tim of Oxford, Kansas; son, Raye Storts of West, Texas; son, Rick Storts and his wife Phila of Belle Plaine, Kansas, grandchildren: Jeremy Neal (Julie) of Texas, Amanda Meranto-Neal (Gianna) of Oklahoma, Cory Storts of Texas, Sara Lenox (Dylan) of Texas, Rick Storts (Cindy) of Derby, Kansas, Chalisa Lynn of Wichita, Kansas, Lynessa Roberts of Belle Plaine, Kansas, David Storts (Mallory) Belle Plaine, Kansas, Kristen Storts of Colorado, Tiffany Epley (Curt) of Wichita, Christopher Pate of Texas and Jessica Pate of Texas, great-grandchildren: Brittany McDaniels (Devon), Tyler Neal, Seth Neal, Jillian Neal, Lelend Meranto-Neal, Zayla Meranto-Neal, Kevin Isham, Paige Isham, Mallory Girton, Carsen Girton, Lexi Lynn, Maddie Storts-Roberts, Emma Roberts, Brantley Roberts , Maverick Storts, Molly Storts Maverick Berry, Willow Megnon, Tatum Lenox and Liam Lenox, great-great-grandchildren: Lillyn and Cayden McDaniels and Brooks Dunham, siblings: Norma Akers of Wichita, Kansas and Daniel Hayes of Missouri.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Jimmie L. Smith and daughter, DeAnna M. Pate and numerous brothers and sisters.Private graveside services were held at the Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine.A memorial has been established in her name with the Alzheimer’s Association.
