first_img Fabricio Coloccini 1 Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has lost his appeal against the red card he received against Everton on Sunday.Coloccini was given his marching orders for a dangerous looking lunge on Toffees’ winger Aaron Lennon which played a huge factor in John Carver’s side’s 3-0 defeat at Goodison Park.The FA released a short statement on Monday stating that the Argentine’s appeal had been rejected by an independent regulatory panel, with his three game ban coming into effect immediately.Coloccini will miss games against Arsenal, Sunderland and Liverpool, adding to Carver’s current issues with striker Papiss Cisse unavailable for a further six games after spitting at Manchester United’s Jonny Evans.last_img read more
