Ph.D./DBA or equivalent inaccounting from an AACSB accredited institution, or a Ph.D./DBA ina related area with professional certification in accounting. ABDapplicants will be considered, but appointment will be at theInstructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed byFebruary 1, 2022. Applicants should have a record or demonstratethe potential for a balanced commitment to excellent teaching,quality research and service. Responsibilities will includeteaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, researchleading to publications in peer-reviewed journals, and universityand community service. Faculty are assigned an instructionalworkload of six (6) course units per academic year for the firstyear. An instructional workload of six (6) course units can becontinued if the individual is maintaining qualification as aScholarly Academic under the college standards. Towson Universityis the only University System of Maryland institution to have AACSBaccreditation for both its business and accounting programs. Ourgreatest needs are in auditing and financial accounting, but allareas will be considered.
