One of the entrants will be the new Hummer EV.GMC has announced a new multi-year sponsorship with Chip Ganassi Racing, marking the team’s first electric racing venture in the inaugural Extreme E season. They will deploy a machine that packs 550 electric ponies, draped in bodywork said to be ‘inspired’ by the GMC Hummer EV. This is our first clue that the machine pressed into racing duty isn’t actually the truck slated for sale to customers.
