In its third year,the program is growing which means there is a need for anexperienced professional who can share their knowledge andenthusiasm with our students.As a Full-time Tenure Track Manufacturing Technology instructor,the successful candidate will teach courses in Precision Machining.Teaching in both the classroom and laboratory settings, thesuccessful candidate will use a combinationofhands-ondemonstrations along with classroom/onlinelectures to teach students machine tool theory and safety as wellas a variety of technical assignments and laboratory instructionthat will prepare the students to enter today’s manufacturingworkforce.This candidate will be experienced and be comfortable teachingtheory and methods in conventional (manual) machine tool operation,blueprint reading/engineering drawings, precision (andnon-precision) measuring tools, set-up, programming and operationof CNC Lathes and Mills, knowledge of 3D modeling and operation ofCAD/CAM software. Additive manufacturing knowledge andwelding/fabrication knowledge is a plus. The faculty member willdemonstrate procedures and prepare students for possible NIMS andother industry-related certifications.Experience with online/blended teaching and willingness to learn aLearning Management System (LMS) for documentation, tracking,reporting, and delivery of educational/training courses preferred.Experience working with adult learners.The faculty member will maintain the highest possible standards ofclassroom and laboratory instruction; apply innovative teaching andlearning pedagogies and keep abreast of new information anddevelopments in manufacturing.
