Leeds midfielder Murphy links up with Clough at Burton Albion

first_img1 Leeds United midfielder Luke Murphy has joined Championship rivals Burton Albion on loan for the rest of the season.The talented midfielder has made just one appearance all season – in the EFL Cup back in August – and has been moved on in order to get playing again.So Murphy has agreed to join Nigel Clough’s Burton until the summer, both clubs have now confirmed.Albion are battling against relegation from the second flight and currently sit fourth-bottom, just a point above the drop zone, while Leeds are flying high in fifth.Murphy told the club’s official website:  “As soon as I found out there was a chance of coming here I really wanted to make it happen.“It’s a very ambitious club and they’ve proved that in the last few years with the promotions.“With the manager that’s here I’ve always wanted to try and play for him and hopefully I can help the team do well and finish the season good.” Luke Murphy in action for Leeds United last_img
